Ultra luxury

The facts that cost money

These are the details that quietly change your final bill and vary by fare, cabin and sailing. We verify each from its source and re-check every 30 days. Where we have not verified something we say so and put you through to an advisor, rather than guess at it.

Daily gratuitiesA published service charge added to your onboard account each dayNone to pay on board. The All-Inclusive fare lists onboard gratuities as included. Spa gratuities have been excluded under older terms, so confirm for your fare.
What's included vs. extraDining and entertainment vs. specialty dining, drinks, wifi, excursionsOn the All-Inclusive fare: butler service in every suite, dining with 24-hour in-suite service, an in-suite bar, wines spirits and champagne, onboard gratuities, wifi, port taxes and fees, enrichment lectures and entertainment, the fitness centre and sauna, and self-service laundry. Shore excursions, pre- and post-voyage air and hotels, and the spa are extra. The line sells several fares and they differ most on whether excursions and flights are in, so which fare your sailing is sold under decides it.
Drink package ruleWhether all adults in the cabin must buy itAsk an advisor
Wi-FiIncluded, or tiered packages at extra costIncluded in the All-Inclusive fare. Terms have indicated the tier can vary by suite category on the classic ships.

Cancellation & refundsPenalty schedule as the sailing gets closerAsk an advisor
Refundable vs non-refundableFare/deposit types and what you forfeitMost lines sell both a refundable-deposit fare and a lower non-refundable-deposit fare. On a non-refundable fare the full deposit is held in penalty if you cancel, although payments beyond the deposit are refunded, and change fees apply to the booking. (General, fare types and penalties vary by line and sailing.)
Solo traveller supplementSingle supplement and whether solo cabins existA solo traveller in a two-person cabin normally pays a single supplement, roughly the cost of two fares. Some ships have cabins built and sold for one person, where double-occupancy rates do not apply, but they are a small part of the inventory and availability varies by ship and sailing. (General, the supplement and the cabin types vary by line.)
Kids, minimum age & clubsMinimum age to sail and kids-club age bandsAsk an advisor
Onboard credit termsRefundable vs non-refundable onboard creditOnboard credit comes from a promotion or your loyalty status, not the base fare, and it comes in two kinds. Complimentary credit is non-refundable and has no cash value, so it has to be spent on board. Purchased credit is refundable to you before you leave the ship. Where you hold both, the non-refundable credit is normally spent first, and anything left at the end of the last evening is forfeited. (General, terms vary by line and offer.)
Loyalty programmeProgramme name and how tiers workVenetian Society. Members earn one Venetian Society Day per completed sailing day, with status milestones at 1, 15, 50, 100, 250, 350 and 500 days. Since 30 January 2026 days can be applied across Royal Caribbean Group's three loyalty programmes.

Accessibility

Some ports are reached by tender, a small boat that ferries guests ashore from a ship at anchor. Tendering can be difficult or impossible with a wheelchair or scooter, and the captain can cancel a tender call for weather on the day. If a specific port matters to your trip, confirm before booking whether it is a dock or a tender call.

What actually drives the cost

Which fare the sailing is sold underSilversea sells several fares and the difference between them is mostly whether shore excursions and flights are in or out. Two quotes for the same voyage can be comparing different things.
Classic or expeditionThe expedition ships carry 100 to 274 guests and go where the classic ships do not. They are priced on where they go, not on what is on board.
Suite categoryEvery cabin is a suite with a butler, so the decision is about size and position rather than whether you get a window.

Prices move daily by ship, date and cabin. One call gets you the real number for your trip.

Questions people actually ask

Are drinks and tips included?

On the All-Inclusive fare, yes. The line's own fare page lists onboard gratuities, an in-suite bar, unlimited pours of champagne and spirits, up to 50 wines from the ship's cellar, wifi and port taxes. It states that fare is available on Classic voyages.

Are shore excursions included?

It depends which fare the sailing is sold under, and this is the detail that catches people out. On the All-Inclusive fare, excursions are bought separately. Other Silversea fares include them. Call and we will have a partner agency confirm which fare applies to the voyage you are looking at.

How big are the ships?

The classic ships carry 392 to 728 guests and the four expedition ships carry 100 to 274, per the line's own ships page. Silversea publishes crew numbers alongside, which is unusual and tells you more about the service than tonnage would.
